1. AfriCarryApp Is Not a Shipping Company

AfriCarryApp is a peer-to-peer marketplace only. We do not inspect, handle, pack, seal, or take possession of any luggage or its contents at any point. We are not a courier, freight forwarder, or logistics provider.

⚠ 2. No Liability for Loss or Damage

AfriCarryApp is not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or destruction of items in the luggage at any stage — including during packing, handover, transit, customs inspection, or delivery. The traveler and sender assume full risk.

🚫 3. No Liability for Illegal Items

AfriCarryApp is not responsible for any illegal, prohibited, or undeclared items found in the luggage. If customs authorities seize, confiscate, or fine either party due to the contents of the luggage, AfriCarryApp bears zero liability. The sender is solely responsible for ensuring all contents are legal under US, Liberian, and international law.

4. Traveler's Right to Refuse

The traveler has the absolute right to refuse to carry any luggage or item they are not comfortable with — at any time before departure — with no penalty. The traveler should inspect all contents before accepting the luggage.

5. Customs Declaration

The traveler must declare all items they carry on behalf of others at customs in both the US and Liberia. The sender must provide an accurate list of all contents and their declared values. Failure to declare items is a criminal offense.

6. Bag Fee Is Non-Refundable

The $200 airline checked bag fee included in the Full Luggage price is paid directly to the airline by the traveler. This fee is non-refundable once the bag is checked in, regardless of what happens to the contents.

7. Sender Confirms Full Knowledge of Contents

By booking a Full Luggage shipment, the sender confirms they personally packed the luggage, are fully aware of all contents, and confirm that nothing prohibited, illegal, or undeclared has been included.

8. Indemnification

The sender and traveler agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfriCarryApp, its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, fines, penalties, legal action, or losses arising from the Full Luggage shipment.

2. User Responsibility

All travelers and senders are solely responsible for ensuring full compliance with the laws and regulations of the United States, Liberia, and any transit country — including all applicable customs, import/export, and controlled substances laws.

🚫 Prohibited Items STRICTLY FORBIDDEN

• Prescription medications belonging to another person
• Controlled substances, narcotics, or illegal drugs
• Firearms, ammunition, or weapons of any kind
• Explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials
• Counterfeit goods or pirated material
• Live animals
• Pornographic material
• Currency exceeding customs declaration limits ($10,000 USD)
• Any item prohibited by US, Liberian, or international law

✅ Allowed Items PERMITTED

• Documents, letters, and envelopes
• Clothing, shoes, and personal effects
• Sealed over-the-counter medications (original packaging)
• Vitamins and supplements (sealed)
• Non-perishable food items (sealed, commercial packaging)
• Electronics for personal use
• Personal prescription medication in original labeled bottle (your own prescription only)

⚠️ Restricted Items WITH DOCUMENTATION

• Commercial goods (may require Liberian import permits & duties)
• Electronics in bulk quantities (subject to customs duties)
• Perishable foods (proper sealed packaging required)
• Cash or valuables (must be declared at customs)

3. Customs & Duties

Senders are responsible for declaring the correct value of all items. Travelers must declare all items carried on behalf of others at customs. AfriCarryApp is not responsible for items seized, fined, or confiscated by customs authorities in any country.

4. Indemnification

By using this platform, travelers and senders agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfriCarryApp, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, fines, penalties, or legal action arising from the transport of prohibited, restricted, or undeclared items.

5. Right to Suspend

AfriCarryApp reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any user found to be violating these terms without refund.

6. Storage Fee Policy

If a recipient fails to collect their package on the day the traveler arrives in Liberia, the following daily storage fees apply: $10 USD per day for full luggage and $5 USD per day for letters and packages. Senders are responsible for ensuring recipients are notified of the traveler's arrival date. Storage fees are deducted from the escrow balance before payout is released to the traveler. AfriCarryApp reserves the right to arrange return or disposal of uncollected items after 7 days.

7. Governing Law
